How to Sign Up for Muse and Redeem an Invite Code

New Muse users can get 1 billion bonus tokens by redeeming someone’s invite code, and the person who shared it gets the same. The catch is timing: you only have 48 hours after creating your account. Here’s exactly how to do it, plus fixes for the problems people run into most.

Before you start

Step 1: Create your account

Download the Muse app for iPhone or Android, or go to muse.ai in your browser. Follow the sign-up prompts. You don’t need to pay or choose a plan to start.

Step 2: Open Settings

Once you’re in, open the menu and go to Settings, then General. On mobile, the menu is usually behind the two-line icon in a corner of the screen.

Step 3: Redeem the code

Find Redeem invite code, paste the code, and confirm. The bonus should show up in your usage straight away.

Step 4: Get your own code

Every user gets a personal invite code to share. Look for the Invite button near the top of the app. Each friend who redeems your code earns you another 1 billion tokens, up to a limit per code. Reports put the limit at between 20 and 30 redemptions, and Meta hasn’t published an official number.

If the code doesn’t work

Here are the quick fixes. For every possible cause, see Muse invite code not working: 8 fixes.

“Code already used up” or “invalid”

Each code can only be redeemed a limited number of times. Try a different code. On our list, each code shows how many visitors said it worked, so pick one with recent successful reports, and tap “No, it didn’t” if yours fails so the next person knows.

You can’t find the redeem option

Update the app to the latest version and restart it. Features roll out in stages, so the option sometimes appears a little later on some accounts.

More than 48 hours have passed

Unfortunately the window can’t be reopened. The redeem field won’t credit an account older than 48 hours. You still keep your regular free allowance, and you can earn bonus tokens by sharing your own code.

You typed the code by hand

Codes mix letters and numbers, and it’s easy to confuse O with 0 or I with 1. Copy and paste the code instead of typing it.

Is it safe to use someone else’s code?

Yes. An invite code only links your new account to the person who shared it so you both receive the bonus. It doesn’t give them access to your account, your chats, or your data. Never share your password with anyone offering codes, and only redeem codes inside the official Muse app or website.
